Herbal medicine is a vital part of our human story, offering an easily accessible, holistic way to effectively support greater health and well-being. Learn a brief history of plant-based medicine in North America while meeting a few of the herbal allies we can easily find all around us. With spring soon approaching, we will explore contemporary and traditional uses for common medicinal and culinary plants of the Hudson Valley that can support our bodies during the seasonal transition.
Alanna Birch is a clinical herbalist, holistic health practitioner, and eco chaplain. She offers one-on-one consultations, as well as in-person and online classes at the intersection of plant-based medicine, deep nature connection, and spiritual care.
